I had a strange sense of Deja Vu as I went to write an article on the new video for IS TROPICAL's latest single 'Lovers Cave'....

Classixx make a remix return with their rendition of The Preatures' 'Is This How You Feel?'.

A busted synth causes a bit of confusion and a slightly underwhelming conclusion to the night as music brimming with this much invention demands more onstage time, but minor quibbles aside, this has been a super-impressive short set from a band that are fast becoming local legends and deservedly so.

It was the upbeat, keys-driven songs that were the real dance numbers, and after a concise encore that ended with The Beatles’ Eight Days A Week, there was not a Fence Sitter in sight.

A four-song encore led by an acoustic It’s Complicated and concluding with The Downfall Of Us All caps it all off, the masses sweaty, the faces smiling, confetti cannons showering us with ribbon rainbows.

It’s an album for people who still know – and are excited – that record stores like Dada’s and Unknown Treasures still exist, stocking all of your favourite indie albums and recommending new treats.

Cinematic. Evocative. Atmospheric. Words that are permanently linked to the post-rock movement and which are all suitable in describing Fourteen Nights at Sea’s second full length LP Great North
