With four tracks each introduced by four ambient interludes, it’s the perfect length for a quick astral journey and dynamic enough to hit repeat a few times.

It’s far from groundbreaking and not without a few less memorable moments, but the passion and ability on display is pretty real.

Moderately paced The Power In Blood stomps out to a cracking riff but it’s the texture and composition of Wyrms that buries the listener in all the decaying goodness that is Earth Rot.

Instead they utilise a more free-form, ambling approach to song structures, ranging from light and playful to clanging and exploratory.

McHugh’s brand of Rasta-reggae is too pallid to be uplifting and too bubbly to feel genuine.

Colours reveals both sturdy foundations and room for growth.

The flaws, though, were minor and this venture deserves support not just for what it represents but also for the quality of their debut show.
