Earth Rot
Local supergroup Earth Rot have pumped out a sludgy and hostile four-track EP in the dark menacing vein one would expect from the eclectic talents of band members from groups such as Advent Sorrow, Sensory Amusia, Claim The Throne and Entrails Eradicated. Dirt moves through at a cracking pace but the key here is crushing power – each track provides a different take on the ER sound. Moderately paced The Power In Blood stomps out to a cracking riff but it's the texture and composition of Wyrms that buries the listener in all the decaying goodness that is Earth Rot.
