Exactly two years after making their way Down Under for a tour (and headline Adelaide’s Froth & Fury festival), Suicidal Tendencies will return to Australia and New Zealand this October and November.
Already appearing in both countries as special guests on Metallica’s upcoming M72 World Tour dates alongside Evanescence, the Californian punk rockers will trade stadiums for theatres and smaller bandrooms.
Beginning the tour at the Magnet House, Perth, on Friday, 31 October, Suicidal Tendencies will also perform at Melbourne’s Forum on Friday, 7 November, Frankston’s Pier Bandroom on Sunday, 9 November, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Tuesday, 11 November, Sydney’s Roundhouse on Friday, 14 November, and wrap their tour at Auckland’s Powerstation on Tuesday, 18 November.
The band will be joined by Briggs’ new metal project, Big Noter, on all shows. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 17 June, at 10 am local time for the Australian shows, and 12 pm local time for the New Zealand shows. Head to the Suicidal Tendencies’ website for more information.
Suicidal Tendencies’ upcoming Australian and New Zealand shows will mark a series of firsts, all while entering their fifth decade in music.
Those firsts? The band’s first new single in seven years, Adrenaline Addict, starring Australia’s own Nisha Star. Their first shows in Australia and New Zealand with drummer Jay Weinberg (Slipknot, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band), and their first shows in Auckland and Perth since 2018.

The current line-up of Suicidal Tendencies features founding member, vocalist Mike Muir, alongside guitarists Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Dean Pleasants, bassist Tye Trujillo—son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, who was a former member of Suicidal Tendencies—and drummer Jay Weinberg.
The venues Suicidal Tendencies will play at on the Metallica shows will be very different: they’ll appear at stadiums. Metallica haven’t toured in Australia in 12 years. You can find the M72 Australian and New Zealand tour dates below.
