Reverb-heavy fuzz-rock encased in a warm bedroom aesthetic, Ba noi incorporates elements of drifting shoegaze and breezy psych-pop. The Sacred Burial Urn exhibits a jaunty spookiness, infused with a gauzy summer haze. Languid horror tones are revisited in Animate. These hallucinatory dreamscapes and bass hooks recall those of Tame Impala. But Cull stand up to the iconic psych outfit, albeit with a lesser focus on pop melodies. Instead they utilise a more free-form, ambling approach to song structures, ranging from light and playful to clanging and exploratory.
