To tie it all up Leon Osborn took us out with his set of more electronic goodness, creating a perfect ending to the night.
Last Friday night was the highly anticipated launch of Rokwell & Groom's debut album New Parts down in little old Mojo's. Kicking off the night was Empty, a solo hip hop act who raps his thoughts to whoever will listen. He had smooth lyrics and was making eye contact with everyone in the room while performing; it was as if he was giving each individual a private performance. This was the beginning of a good night.
As the bar slowly began to make capacity Lower Spectrum appeared, an electro-indie act. He took us on a journey into electronica, a place the majority of us have been before (and probably still are). His manipulation of his music caused no one to be still; everyone was enticed to move. As his set continued the room packed out and the atmosphere flowered with excitement.
Later on into the night Fall Electric wowed us with their musical prowess. Their music wasn't as amped as previous acts yet the audience was drawn in and enjoyed every second of it. The time came for the main event and the crowd was definitely ready for the headlining act, Rokwell & Groom. The duo created a soundwave of electronically lustful beats. Everyone in the room was fascinated and into the music; no one could stand still. This was a credit to their hard work. They played songs such as Omaha and Impossible Alps. Once they ended, it was as if the crowd didn't want them to stop. To tie it all up Leon Osborn took us out with his set of more electronic goodness, creating a perfect ending to the night.
