The show definitely proved Chvrches to be worthy of the hype surrounding them, unleashing an energetic, compulsively danceable set that left their audience reeling.

The intimacy of the space was occasionally lost but this is no fault of either act and both rose to the occasion.

Amazingly talented, Krall created record-perfect music and displayed an unexpected humility and vulnerability that was endearing and charmed the pants off an already admiring crowd.

It’s clear to this reviewer that if the current '90s rock resurgence were to fade away, it would be so much better doing so with a band like Drenge sounding the final hurrah.

Despite the vocal challenges, the set justified the buzz around Autre Ne Veut, and showed that while the trends might be moving closer to his aesthetic, he is one artist who won’t be defined by anyone else.

His skills are certainly there, however, the live show lacks any ability to bring together his influences and create something distinctive.
