New Music: Röyksopp - Sordid Affair (LO'99 Remix)
LO'99 continues his rapid rise as 'one to watch' next year.. We've been big fans of up-and-coming producer LO'99 since back in August when we featured him on the site, up until last month when he dropped Medium Rare Recordings' first official release, Take Me Back with Marshall F. That deep, bassy house sound had an incredible resurgence in 2014, and LO'99 is one of the smoothest cats in the business, separating himself enough from the herd - especially on stuff like this killer re-work of Röyksopp's Sordid Affair:, which features Man Without Country's Ryan James: “When I found out I was going to be remixing [Sordid Affair], I wanted to make sure I could pay homage to the original and add my flavor without destroying the vibe. I made a few different versions that had much more ‘clubby’ drops, like some of my other remixes, but they seemed to not really suit the song so I pulled it all back.” Follow LO'99: FACEBOOK

New music: Beyonce, 7/11 - Jack Ü Remix
Jack Ü gives it to Beyonce, proper.. As soon as Beyonce threw down those ghetto-fresh lyrics in 7/11 ‘smack it, smack it, in the air’, you just knew the scene’s craftiest producers were already thinking about ways they could turn the otherwise hook-less, melody-less track into something ready for the peak time club.  French Montana did none of the former with his remix of the track that he delivered this week (stream below), instead delivering a strange instrumental, devoid of even a verse from himself, that had rap fans scratching their heads, but not mad.   The ball-tearer instead comes from Lords of EDM Town Jack Ü – that’s Diplo and Skrillex in power couple mode – who have injected some frantic beats into 7/11 and coated it in hectic drops and cowbells. Diplo posted the picture above on his instagram on Boxing Day with the caption "We got somethin for ü for crimbus."   Diplo and Skrillex have recently revved up the activitiy on their Jack Ü side project, after debuting it at the 20

New Music: The Kite String Tangle - Stone Cold (Kilter Remix)
Kilter surprises with a rad d'n'b-leaning remix for TKST.. Last Friday saw the release of Kilter's ReShades LP, a collection of remixes that Kilter has compiled over the year alongside some of his own original tunes being remixed by others. And following on from the remixes of AMTRAC and Hermitude, Kilter has delivered a roaring remix of Kite String Tangle’s Stone Cold. Performed live for the first time at Listen Out earlier this year, Kilter’s remix gives Kite String Tangle’s single an energetic reinterpretation, packed full of busy drum work, a great synth melody and a menacing bass line which throws a little drum'n'bass into the mix which should - and has been - getting peeps jumping up. Grab ReShades off iTunes HERE. UPCOMING SHOWS: Tuesday, 30 December 2014 - Falls Festival, Lorne Thursday, 1 January 2015 - Field Day, Sydney Sunday, 4 January 2015 - Southbound Festival, Busselton Follow Kilter: FACEBOOK
