YungbludYungblud would be very keen on recording a song with Oasis. But not just any song: he wants to record a James Bond theme.
Recently, speculation has surrounded the Britpop icons, with rumours suggesting they were the favourites to be approached to record the song for the next James Bond film. Liam Gallagher also fuelled the gossip by writing on social media last month, “It’s happening you wait till you hear it it’s the best BOND tune ever.”
However, Noel Gallagher downplayed the rumours in a recent chat with talkSPORT (via Deadline).
“This James Bond thing? What, Oasis? Nah,” he remarked.
But when he was asked about whether he’d be interested in unveiling a song for the next 007 film, Gallagher said, “What, for Oasis to do it? Absolutely. Of course. It would be an absolute honour, and I think those kinds of things should be done by Brits, not Yanks.”
Amazon MGM Studios has since taken over the rights of the franchise, and when the Don’t Look Back In Anger star was asked if the studio had approached him, he replied, “Nah, nah, nah. I’ll play a villain. I’ll play a Mancunian villain.”
While Gallagher has denied rumours of Oasis’ involvement in writing an 007 theme song, Yungblud has expressed interest in a collaboration.
“I would fucking love to,” the Zombie singer told Kerrang! in a new interview, adding that recording a Bond song is “in the same league as headlining Glastonbury” for British artists.

“For any British artist, a Bond song is the goal and in the same league as headlining Glastonbury,” Yungblud said. “I’d be down for a collaboration on a Bond song if Liam and Noel would fucking have me.”
Yungblud released the second part of his double album, Idols II, on Friday (20 February). In a 2025 interview with The Music, the singer revealed that he wanted his new music to have a “timeless” feeling, drawing on influences including Oasis, Madonna, The Verve, David Bowie, and My Chemical Romance.
“This album is my attempt at something classic; timeless,” he told The Music. “We wanted to make something that would be a double album in two parts that you would listen to as a through line and really elongate, or try to elongate, the imagination.”
Three of the five Daniel Craig Bond themes were recorded by American artists.
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell recorded You Know My Name for Casino Royale (2006), Jack White and Alicia Keys teamed up for Another Way To Die for the 2008 film Quantum of Solace, and Billie Eilish performed the most recent theme for No Time To Die in 2021.
Meanwhile, British artists Adele recorded 2012’s Skyfall and Sam Smith performed Writing’s On The Wall for the 2015 film, Spectre.
