Sydney metal band Polaris has been on a steady rise over the last few years, performing their largest shows to date in Australia and securing key slots at major music festivals.

And now, they’re in the US, opening shows for German electronicore outfit Electric Callboy, with dates at arenas and outdoor amphitheatres. One of which happened to be America’s most legendary venue: the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Polaris tore up the Red Rocks stage on Thursday (30 April) and have since shared a short video from their time on stage performing their beloved track, The Remedy. You can watch footage from their set below.

Polaris are enjoying a stacked 2026 thus far. Starting with headlining this year’s Froth & Fury Festival in Adelaide and Perth, the band then hosted their own festival in Melbourne, Life’s A Beach, which featured a mix of homegrown and international heavy bands.

Then, in March, they opened for Linkin Park on their arena tour across Australia. Since mid-April, they’ve been in the US opening shows for Electric Callboy, the run concluding on 27 May.

From mid-September to mid-October, Polaris will be in Europe, supporting I Prevail on their Violent Nature World Tour. Then, they come home in late October, appearing on the inaugural edition of the Hellbound Cruise, which departs Sydney on 22 October and returns on 25 October.

With three studio albums under their belts, plus multiple ARIA Award nominations, sold-out headline tours in Australia, tours abroad, and millions of plays on streaming platforms, Polaris have been an inimitable force in the country’s heavy music scene since their formation in 2012.

Polaris are recognised for their explosive arrangements, phenomenal musicianship, unique vocal interplay, and relatability. They unleashed their sound onto the world with 2017’s The Mortal Coil, following it up with 2020’s The Death Of Me and 2023’s Fatalism.

Fatalism debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts, gained nominations for Australian Album of the Year at the 2023 J Awards and was shortlisted for the 2023 Australian Music Prize. The band have recently been working on new music.

“The new music we’re working on, like always, I’d like to hope there’s a good amount of diversity to it,” drummer Daniel Furnari told Knotfest’s Sosefina Fuamoli in April. He added that their forthcoming record will contain some of their “least metal moments,” as well as “some of our most metal moments you’ve ever heard from us.”
