A number of changes at Warner Music Australia have been revealed.
A senior staffer has exited Warner Music Australia amid a slew of other promotions and hires within the music company.
In an internal email to staff, seen by The Music, President Dan Rosen said Warner was “making some important changes” to the team as SVP of Publicity & Promotion, Billy MacLeod, steps down after 11 years with the company.
The company’s Commercial department has been combined with its Brand & Sync team, the latter of which will still be led by Emily Crews, while Simon Cahill oversees the newly unified group as he takes on the role of SVP, Commercial, Audiences & Media, reporting to Rosen.
Meanwhile, Uppy Chatterjee is promoted to Managing Editor of WMA Media Brands and Mat Buck steps up into the role of Head of Streaming & Discovery while Luke Vespa moves into the role of Streaming Partnership Manager in a restructure that Rosen said would help them “create bold, cross-platform campaigns, in ways that are more supportive for our partners and more creative for our artists”.
Warner Australia is also in the process of merging its Marketing and Promotions teams “in order to heighten our ability to cut through the noise and boost our digital expertise even further” with a new SVP of Marketing expected to be hired soon as three new promotions in the department are announced; Caroline Recking will take on the role of Marketing Executive, Alex Knight will become the company’s new Marketing Coordinator and Emilie Kemp is being promoted to Press & Media Manager.
The slew of changes are rounded out by Melbourne-based Larissa Ryan and Sydney-based Christopher Kevin Au joining the team as A&R Managers in their respective cities.
