Security guard put patron in a chokehold.
A bouncer who worked at a popular WA live music venue and nightclub has been sentenced to prison in court after he reportedly put a patron in a chokehold and slammed his head against a wall following an altercation in 2015.
As Perth Now reports, Adam Ryan Kennedy was handed an eight month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, in Perth Magistrate's Court yesterday, after he was found guilty of assaulting Aaron Tuana at Fremantle's Metropolis.
Kennedy has also been fined $5000 which will be given to Tuana.
His sentence has been suspended to a prior clean record and likelihood of rehabilitation.

The incident was reportedly sparked when Tuana, celebrating his sister's birthday at Metropolis, argued with the venue's security guards after a friend was evicted at around 1.30am.
CCTV footage showed Kennedy putting Tuana in a chokehold until he passed out, then slamming Tuana's head against a wall.
The assault left Tuana with a small bleed to the brain and the court heard he still suffers from headaches and memory loss.
"(Security guards) are employed day in and day out to control the situation, not aggravate it," the police prosecutor said.
"The victim, whilst being unconscious and in the most vulnerable state a human being can be, was discarded on the ground."
Magistrate Thomas Hall said the assault was unwarranted.
"(It was) totally excessive and totally unnecessary," he said.
"It was at the very least a reckless act.
"There are numerous cases where people have died from choker holds such as this."
In recent times, Metropolis has hosted live gigs for some big name bands including The Used, A Day To Remember and Lamb Of God.
