American rapper Tyler, The Creator has dropped a major hint about his future touring plans, revealing that he’s ready to take a “very long break.”

Over the last seven months, Tyler, The Creator has embarked on a lengthy world tour in support of his latest two albums, CHROMAKOPIA and DON’T TAP THE GLASS, released a year apart, both with little warning. And now, it seems the constant touring is starting to take its toll.

“I’m excited to go home and think about if I’ll ever really tour again,” he told the crowd in the Philippines on Sunday (21 September).

He continued, “I can’t lie to y’all, I’m at that part of my life where, man, I’ve done enough. Let me go take a very, very, very long break. Y’all treated me very well, y’all treated Paris, Texas, very well. So, thank y’all.”

His comments arrived at the end of the CHROMAKOPIA World Tour, but in November, he’s set to headline his own Camp Flog Gnaw festival and carnival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Will that be the last time fans see Tyler, The Creator for the foreseeable future?

Tyler, The Creator recently returned to Australia for an 11-date arena tour, which included stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. He also played two headline dates in Auckland, New Zealand.

Tyler explodes onto the stage with high energy, accompanied by pyrotechnics that occur all around the stage, leaving us with the smell of gunpowder that permeates the arena and 14,000 fans ready for what comes next.

The tour saw Tyler perform thrilling 24-song setlists across the country, highlighting his latest albums as well as some long-standing fan favourites. He also made headlines for describing Australia as the “whitest place on Earth.”
