The meat and music festival is back for another serve in April.
Crowd-favourite 'carnival for carnivores' Meatstock will return to Melbourne in 2018 following its sell-out event this year, with tickets on sale now for the meat and music festival.
Running from 22-23 April, Meatstock Melbourne will welcome Pitmasters identity Big Moe Cason and Aussie barbecue master Hillbilly Wes, of Sydney's Bovine & Swine Barbecue Co.
Both men seem like they can't wait to hit Meatstock to run their classes and demonstrations for event competitors and the general public, with Cason explaining in a statement that his love of all things barbecuing — he's taken part in more than 130 competitions in his time — has transcended mere hobby to become "a way of life".
"I am passionate about maintaining the integrity of BBQ by cooking with authenticity, using simple recipes and honoring the history of BBQ," Cason said. "I can’t wait for Meatstock Melbourne! It’s known as the food capital of Australia, so I can’t wait to dig in."

For his part, Wes will be making a return to Meatstock Melbourne, having taken part in this year's festivities.
"It was great to see the barbecue movement in full swing in Australia’s foodie state," he said. "The whole weekend was jammed packed with brisket, burgers and great Aussie bands - some of my favourite things!"
The live music line-up is yet to be announced, but there's plenty else on offer to get those lips smacking, including $8000 in cash for the victor from more than 50 teams who will be battling it out in the second Meatstock Melbourne barbecue wars.
More than 20 butchers will also face off to win the title of the city's best butcher, while next year will see the introduction of the Culley's King Of The Que competition, a hunt to find the country's best burger, wings, steak and bacon.
Tickets for Meatstock Melbourne 2018 are available from $35 for a single day or $55 for the full weekend, with kids under 12 entering free with an adult.
