For a while, anyway
Prodigious Brisbane trio The Goon Sax are headed overseas for a European tour and a bit of youthful… whatever it is that "the kids" do with their time these days — badminton? — pretty soon, so they're saying goodbye to Australia (for the next little while at least) with a three-show east-coast tour this April.
They'll start saying their farewells at The Union Hotel, in Sydney, on Friday 21 April with support from Body Type and Greta Now, head down to Melbourne to party with Suss Cunts, RVG and Parsnip, and wrap it all up at home in Brisbane at the Foundry on Friday 28 April (supports TBA).
If you can't make it to those shows, don't start despairing just yet; they've got a few other appearances up their sleeve before those final gigs that were announced a little while ago, including an outing at Taronga Zoo tomorrow supporting Teenage Fan Club, plus their first-ever appearances in Canberra and Wollongong over the weekend.
Come May, though, they're setting off for dates in the UK and France (including at the countries' respective festivals The Great Escape and Villette Sonique), plus Germany and other countries.

While we're sure they'll return to Aussie shores at some stage, the band have been on an undeniable roll following the release of their acclaimed debut full-length Up To Anything around this time last year, and their press material even muses that they don't know when they'll be back, so better not take any chances.
