British glam-rock outfit The Sweet are heading to Australia for the last time, today announcing their Final Blitz Tour.
The band last visited Down Under in 2024 – they’ll return in October and November for an expansive run across the country.
The tour begins at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Friday, 30 October, and continues throughout Adelaide, Launceston, Hobart, Narre Warren, Geelong, Melbourne, Sydney, Penrith, Newcastle, Thirroul, Tweed Heads, Caloundra, and concludes at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Saturday, 28 November. Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 15 April, at 10 am local time, followed by the general sale on Monday, 20 April, at 10 am local time. You can book tickets via the Metropolis Touring website.
Guitarist Andy Scott – representing the band’s classic line-up – leads the current iteration of the band, which also features vocalist Paul Manzi, keyboardist and guitarist Tom Cory, bassist Lee Small, and drummer Adam Booth.

The Sweet became a phenomenon in Australia in the 1970s. They amassed 13 Top 50 singles Down Under, including two hits that reached #1. The band has sold a staggering 55 million records worldwide.
In 1975, The Sweet unveiled their first self-written and self-produced single, Fox on the Run. The track hit #1 in Australia and became the biggest-selling single of the year, eventually named the seventh-biggest seller in Australia for the entire decade.
The band have found considerable chart success in Australia across their five-decade-plus history and regularly visited their fans Down Under. For the Final Blitz Tour, The Sweet will showcase a Greatest Hits set chock-full of classics, such as Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, Love is Like Oxygen, Wig Wam Bam, Blockbuster, Teenage Rampage, Hell Raiser, Action, and many others.
