The tour will kick off in April 2023.
British punk rockers The Stranglers have announced an Aussie tour for April next year, kicking off in Adelaide on April 18 before heading to Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and ending in Newcastle on the 23rd.
Forming in 1974, The Stranglers were famous for their cheeky pranks and devil-may-care attitude, as well as the experimental tunes that set them on a path to success in the late '70s.
From art-rock to goth to new wave pop, the rambunctious band really did it all and ushered in a new wave of music that was on the same playing field as The Ramones, The Clash, and Sex Pistols.
Their 2023 tour will be their first time back on Australian shores without original members Jet Black and Dave Greenfield (who sadly passed away in 2020). However, founding member Jean-Jacque Burnell is still leading the way, keeping the band true to its roots, and will be covering tracks from their extensive catalogue spanning over 45 years.
Fans can expect to hear timeless hits like Golden Brown, Always The Sun, No More Heroes, Strange Little Girl and Peaches.
