The fuck-child of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Tool and Circa Survive is here folks, and it's pretty damn cool.

Melbourne prog-rock outfit, Sentia, have seemingly put their best foot forward with, 'Hydroflow', the first track to be taken from their debut EP, 'Origins'.

Recorded over in Hong Kong, China, 'Origins' and it's four respective tracks will be entering the digital realm on August 12th.

What begins as an atmospheric, dynamic soundscape that would make many a post-rock band jealous, 'Hydroflow' effortlessly morphs into a riff-heavy, groovy middle section. That is until the song soars even higher and lays down a musical bed for some social comparisons between Eastern & Western cultures to be delivered via spoken word. Now, while I'm not fully sold on that spoken word part towards the end, this song is truly worthy of four minutes & forty-seven seconds of your day to listen to.

Of course, making a good first impression with any audience, especially for a relatively new and young band like this is such a hard thing to get right, but I think that Sentia has made it past that difficult first step off. Well, for me anyway. Give 'Hydroflow' a stream below and see for yourself...
