Reclink Community Cup Breaks Attendance Record With 25th Anniversary Event

Yesterday's Reclink Community Cup in Melbourne has proven to be a record breaking occasion, with this year's event drawing in a whopping 12,000 attendees. 

The annual event, which is centred around an AFL match between the Megahertz and the Rockdogs, aims to raise much-needed funds for Reclink to provide sport, recreation and arts events across the country, and this year saw performances from Paul Kelly & Dan Sultan, Magic Dirt, Baker Boy and Harvey Sutherland. 

"What an incredible day it was celebrating 25 years of the Reclink Community Cup, we were thrilled to have the calibre of musos both performing on the day and playing with The Espy Rockdogs," shared Reclink's CEO John Ballis when speaking with The Music today.  

"The day had an amazing vibe and a record attendance of over 12,000, with a carnival, footy match and rock concert all mashed into one! Yesterday really captured the spirit of the event that Melburnians love; mateship, fun, awesome music, above average grassroots footy and a one point game winner thriller for the Megaz – how good is that?"
