Thom Yorke says he will “sue the living shit” out of David Cameron if the British Prime Minister uses Radiohead’s music in his election campaigns.
Speaking to Dazed & Confused, the Radiohead frontman said he found it hard to believe the British PM would enjoy Radiohead’s latest album, The King Of Limbs, and that he did not approve him using it for his upcoming election campaigns.
"I can't say I love the idea of a banker liking our music, or David Cameron," Yorke said. "I can't believe he'd like [2011's] King of Limbs much. But I also equally think, who cares? … As long as he doesn't use it for his election campaigns, I don't care. I'd sue the living shit out of him if he did".
Throughout his career, Yorke has frequently made his strong opinions on social and environmental issues clear. The 44-year-old attended the UN’s climate change conference in 2009 and voiced his support for the Occupy London movement in 2011.
Yorke’s latest project Atoms For Peace will release their debut album, Amok, on February 25. The supergroup also consists of the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Flea, producer Nigel Godrich, percussionist Mauro Refosco and drummer Joey Waronker.
Radiohead toured Australia last November.
