The ratings are in.

Can you believe it's March already? Following the longest January ever recorded (not hyperbole), February just flew by and now it's time for the first radio ratings of the year.

At the end of 2019, triple j saw a major shuffle in its presenting line-up (including the departure of Breakfast hosts Ben & Liam, Mornings host Linda Marigliano, Lunch's Gen Fricker and Hack's Tom Tilley).

That means this survey we'll see how Sally & Erica fared in their new roles at triple j Breakfast and how Adelaide responded to Ben & Liam's move to Nova 91.9.

Triple J Content Director Ollie Wards told The Music he was thrilled with the ratings.

“We’re beyond stoked to have broken our reach record in the five cities for the second time running, attracting 2.249 million listeners each week," he said.

"This is such a great result for our all new line-up, especially seeing Sally & Erica increasing share on triple j Breakfast with the best result for a new breakfast show to date."

The station also saw a spike in its weekend share across the board on the back on the Hottest 100.

"The Hottest 100 Weekend has continued to grow exponentially since implementing that format three years ago," Wards said.

"In addition to this survey’s results, our bespoke survey found that 19% of Australians (or over 3.25 million people) listened to the countdown live on Saturday 25 January. That percentage increased to 29% of Australians aged 18-34."
