It's been a good weekend for Private Function.

More Private Function More Private Function

Aussie outfit Private Function have made a hugely successful debut on the ARIA charts this past weekend with their second album, Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

The Melbourne pub-punkers' record debuted at #1 on the Vinyl Albums chart, #2 on the Australian Albums chart and #9 on the Albums chart.

While metal legends Metallica and pop star Katy Perry took out #1 and #2 respectively on on the Albums chart with the S&M2 live album and Smile, both finished behind Private Function on the Vinyl Albums list, with Perry coming in at #3 and Metallica at #4.

The massive result sees Private Function make their ARIA chart debut following the release of their first record, St Anger, last year.

Private Function, who were revealed as the first signing on fellow Melbourne band Clowns' label in May, are scheduled to perform at the Yours & Owls festival in January next year.
