Eora-based all female, trans and non-binary writing camp ONE OFF TRAKS has announced its return via Offbeat Collective, opening up applications for its Class of 2025 today.
Starting out in 2023 as a means to address the gender imbalance and marginalisation of underrepresented voices in the music industry, ONE OFF TRAKS is an annual writing camp providing established and rising female, non-binary and trans creatives with the resources, opportunities, and facilities necessary to cultivate and craft world class, one-of-one creative and musical experiences.

Directed by Offbeat Collective director and artist Jannah Beth and photographer and creative producer Minori Ueda, and supported by Creative Australia, JD Sports and Fellr, this year’s addition of ONE OFF TRAKS extends and encourages applications from Aotearoa-based artists. Together, with their Aussie-based counterparts, the selected group of producers, artists and songwriters will participate in a multi day writing camp held at Offbeat Collective, with a welcome dinner to kick things off, before heading into writing sessions, a showcase, a mixtape release and development workshops to harbour creativity, collaboration, and growth throughout the year.
Speaking on the essence of the writing camp, Jannah Beth shared: "ONE OFF TRAKS started as a shared vision to create a space where female, trans, and non-binary artists could thrive. In just a few years, it’s grown into something bigger than we ever imagined, a movement that fosters collaboration, builds lasting creative relationships, and amplifies voices that deserve to be heard. With the support of our partners and community, we’re excited to take it even further in 2025."
This year’s edition of ONE OFF TRAKS introduces multidisciplinary creative and 2024 camp participant Jamaica Moana as an official ambassador. Moana has significantly pioneered Australia’s ballroom scene in recent years, and as an ambassador of the camp, shares excitement in being part of something that centres BIPOC, QPOC and TPOC voices.
“Last year’s camp was so pivotal to my growth as an artist. Connecting with the plethora of talent within our immediate network was the highlight. Then to make music with them? Wow,” they said.
“After experiencing the importance of ONE OFF TRAKS, I lowkey wanted to represent this camp from the jump. To be asked to be the 2025 ambassador, was an honour that I knew I was ready for. The deep change we know needed in our industry is the focus on POC talent - in my case - specifically QPOC, who are - more often than not - overlooked in application processes. This year, I’m excited to further the inclusion of BIPOC, QPOC, TPOC artists who truly deserve this opportunity. The talents within our communities deserve to be heard before seen.”
Applications for ONE OFF TRAKS: Class of 2025 will close at 5PM February 24. The successful applicants of this year’s edition of ONE OFF TRAKS will be announced at a launch event on International Women's Day on March 8th at Offbeat Collective, featuring performances from many ONE OFF TRAKS alumni including RISSA, POOKIE & Yo.Shi.
