Sunk Loto Announce 2026 Australian Tour

Sunk Loto are hitting the road this August, celebrating the release of their forthcoming single, Dead Shadows.

The tour marks the band’s first shows since 2023, where they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their seminal album, Between Birth And Death.

The short-and-sweet run takes place along the East Coast. Kicking things off at Brisbane’s Crowbar on Tuesday, 11 August, the band then head to Sydney’s Crowbar on Thursday, 13 August, and complete the tour at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Friday, 14 August.

Sunk Loto’s upcoming single, Dead Shadows, will be released on Friday, 8 May. It’s set to drop alongside a music video featuring a full-band performance, filmed by videographer Colin Jeffs (In Hearts Wake, Make Them Suffer, RedHook). The clip will mark the first music video featuring the band since 2003.

Discussing the tour, the band teased that more new music is on the way. “We’re going to be playing a spread of old and new, songs we haven’t played live in years, our new single and more from the forthcoming release,” they said. “We can’t wait, see you there!”

Following their formation in 1997, Sunk Loto released two albums – 2000’s Big Picture Lies and 2003’s Between Birth And Death – before disbanding in 2007.

After a 15-year hiatus, Sunk Loto resurfaced in 2022 and played a short run of shows along the East Coast. In August 2023, they announced that guitarist and co-founder Luke McDonald was no longer in the band, and a few weeks later, revealed that I Built The Sky’s Ro Stevenson had joined the band as a full-time lead guitarist.

In October 2023, Sunk Loto released the single The Gallows Wait, their first new music in almost 20 years. A year later, they dropped the track God Complex.

Before their disbandment, the band toured alongside Korn, Linkin Park, A Perfect Circle, Suicidal Tendencies, and Sevendust, and performed at Big Day Out, Homebake, Vans Warped Tour, and Splendour In The Grass.
