Parkway Drive announce Sick Summer 2012 tour
Australian metalcore giants Parkway Drive have announced an extensive regional tour across the east coast this summer. The Sick Summer 2012 Tour will feature stops in many small towns that are neglected all too often by the touring circuit, kicking off in Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast on February 16th.The shows will mark a rare return to more intimate venues for the band, with many of the rooms holding little more than a few hundred kids. It's final stop will be Melbourne's Pushover Festival on March 12th.On the inspiration behind a second Sick Summer Tour, frontman Winston McCall said:"For us it means a chance to hit the road in the country we love and play as many of those places we don’t get to stop at as much. We Came As Romans premiere new music video
We Came As Romans have released their music video for track “Mis//Understanding”. The video is the first of a three part series of music videos for songs off of the band’s recently released album, Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be. We Came As Romans guitarist/lyricist Joshua Moore explained the concept behind the video "You see this guy running through the woods. There are scenes of him covered in mud, dirt, and grime. He's even running from himself. That's all going on in his mind. He's running away from the darkness that he sees. He's trying to break away and break out from that." "It goes along with the lyrics of the song—not understanding a lot of the things that happen and the negativity that seems mindless. There's no reason for it. Towards the end of the song, Dave says, "Don't give up on me. Take comfort in me." The song is ultimately about figuring out how to fix things within yourself and be happy. That's where it all starts." The two forthcoming videos will contin...

Fucked Up announce sideshows
What better way for hardcore punk ensemble Fucked Up to celebrate their third studio offering David Comes To Life (out now through Matador) by bringing their mind blowing performances to Australia as special guests of Foo Fighters and throwing in two intimate headline shows whilst in the country! As audiences and critics familiar with their shows can attest, this is not your usual punk gig. Fucked Up are much, much more than that: "Few bands today can match Fucked Up's electrifying stage presence Bodies collided and flew into the walls of more timid onlookers; but there was no violence felt, no desire to hurt one another. For all its musical aggression, Fucked Up's show is a positive experience." CLASH MUSIC "In the age of the tell-all confessional pop star blog or 'indie' bands who hire image consultants before they even sign a record deal, Toronto hardcore punk troupe Fucked Up possess that rare and precious thing: mystique Really, you can only wish that there were more bands a...
