MadonnaMadonna has joined forces with Grindr to promote her forthcoming album, Confessions II.
Grindr, the world’s largest social networking and online hookup application for gay, bi, trans, and queer people, and Madonna, one of the world’s biggest pop stars, are an incredible match. And this July, fans can get their hands on Grindr exclusives attached to the album.
“Confessions II isn’t just launching on Grindr. It’s happening inside it,” a press release from the app noted.
Madonna is launching a limited-edition vinyl picture disc she made just for Grindr, along with exclusive in-app content and behind-the-scenes access to the making of the album.
“Grindr is one of the few brand partners hand-selected by the OG Mother to officially partner on the release of Confessions II,” the statement continued. “Starting today, Madonna will be taking over the app and bringing our community into her world - just in time for Pride season.
“Madonna knows exactly who moves culture forward - the gays. We don’t just lay back and listen; we decide what matters. We break artists, build scenes, breathe life into music, and turn songs into anthems. We always have.
“And the Grindr Gayborhood is where that audience lives, connects, and shows up every day, globally. That’s why she’s here.”
Fans can stay up to date with updates via the Grindr app and its social media channels, with an artist takeover coming to the app.

Madonna’s Confessions II – a sequel to her 2006 record, Confessions on a Dance Floor – will be released on Friday, 3 July. Pre-order/pre-save the album here.
Confessions II is Madonna’s first record to be released via Warner Records since 2008’s Hard Candy. On the sequel record, she continues her exploration of dance and electronic music, having reunited with producer Stuart Price, who co-wrote and produced the original album.
She summarised her upcoming release by quoting the first few lines of her song, One Step Away: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”
