The metal legends called the tour off last week.
Iron Maiden have announced they are "working on" rescheduling a number of tours they've been forced to call off this year, including Australia, to 2022.
The UK metal legends originally postponed the Australian leg of their Legacy Of The Beast tour in March due to the COVID pandemic, however last week the tour was scrapped altogether.
Since then, the band has confirmed that they will not be performing any shows until June 2021.
"In respect of what should have been the opening leg of the 2020 tour starting on May 1 in Perth, Australia and visiting New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, Dubai and Israel, we are currently working on a possible return to as many of these countries as we can, in some guise, in the first half of 2022, more news on that will follow at the appropriate time," Iron Maiden co-manager Rod Smallwood said in a statement.
"The band are all fine and send you guys their best wishes, they are very much looking forward to getting back on stage next year and seeing you all so, please, continue to take care of yourselves and stay SMART."

A number of international tours have been rescheduled for later this year, including City & Colour, Stormzy and Dream Theater, while Splendour In The Grass is currently slated to go ahead in October.
Despite punters itching for live music and others ruling out international tours this year, the Health Department told The Music earlier this week that “it is too early to speculate" on what measures will be in place for the rest of 2020.
