It’s official: Manjimup, Western Australia-based singer-songwriter and producer Go-Jo, will represent Australia at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland, over five days: the semi-finals of this year’s competition will begin on Tuesday, 13 May, and continue until Thursday, 15 May. The final will take place on Saturday, 17 May.
Go-Jo will be up against already-confirmed singers, including Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike, the Czech Republic’s Adonxs, Estonia’s Tommy Cash, Finland’s Erika Vikman, Greece’s Klavdia, Lithuania’s Katarsis, Norway’s Kyle Alessandro, Poland’s Justyna Steczkowska, and more.
But who is Go-Jo? With his new single Milkshake Man, which he’s submitted for Eurovision, Go-Jo (real name Marty Zambotto) teamed up with Sheppard’s Amy and George Sheppard, as well as Jason Bovino. The song is out now via Chugg Music/Rix Records.
The Australian singer-songwriter and producer has already developed an engaging, distinctive sound of guitar-driven pop, R&B, and hip-hop. Go-Jo started playing his first guitar at the age of 13.
In the early days of his career, he initially produced and wrote songs for other artists before he found his own voice and launched his solo project.
