Slowly SlowlyWith one week to go until BIGSOUND returns to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, there’s plenty to look forward to: the BIGSOUND 100 performers’ line-up, conference speakers, parties, and much more.
And today, some special event line-ups have dropped – and will continue to be revealed daily up until BIGSOUND begins next Tuesday (1 September). MAY-A joins this year’s event, performing at the Sony & Friends BIGSOUND Party alongside Jem Cassar-Daley, Pash, and Bella Amor.
Elsewhere, at the Official Oztix Party, Slowly Slowly hit up The Brightside alongside BIRDLAND, Large Mirage, Liquid Zoo, and others. Meanwhile, Sunshine Coast locals Frank & Louis have been named partner showcase acts of the festival along with MAY-A and Slowly Slowly.
The excitement doesn’t end there. Brisbane locals will be treated to the Free Live Music program, heading to the BIGSOUND Mall Stage at Brunswick St Mall, with live tunes blasting until 10 pm daily.
Program highlights include Jungaji and Holystone, making up the Hunting Ground Publishing Showcase first signings. Other performers include Pash, Zipporah, Salty, Lara Buchanan, Ngaiire, and many others. Brisbane City Council’s QUBE Effect initiative also returns, featuring Brisbane locals BADPOSTURE.
Other community highlights include the California Lane CD & Record Fair and the MILKLAB x BIGSOUND Morning Mix Run Club, while delegates can attend the Women & Gender Diverse Folk in Music Brunch and a limited number of ticketholders attend Live Nation’s Ones To Watch showcase.

“It’s the heartbeat of entertainment in Brisbane and a real-world example of the vibrant, safe and business-friendly night-life economy we should be building across Queensland as we get match fit for 2032. More than $20 million in economic impact in 2025 shows this isn’t just good for the Valley, it’s good for jobs, businesses and the wider Queensland economy.”
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said, “Brisbane is Australia’s lifestyle capital, and BIGSOUND brings the Valley alive with live music, emerging artists and plenty to see and do. The best part is, so much is free, which gives residents another great reason to get out and enjoy Brisbane.
“We are bringing the QUBE Effect to BIGSOUND for the first time, with local band BAD POSTURE taking over Brunswick Street Mall on Thursday afternoon. Backing Brisbane talent and creating more great experiences like this is all part of making our city an even better place to live.”
