The incident was fittingly followed by a rendition of their 1999 single 'Break Stuff.'

It’s clearly just one of those days for Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, who was seen successfully knocking down a fan’s drone during a recent show in Turkey.
The show – which took place in Istanbul on Sunday, August 17th – was part of the group’s current run of dates in the region and featured a setlist that drew heavily from their 2000 album, Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavored Water.
As the main set came to a close with the launch of their Mission: Impossible 2 theme Take A Look Around, an air raid of sorts took place thanks a fan's drone.
Footage of the event shows a drone hovering close to the stage as the song’s breakdown takes place. As guitarist Wes Borland casually steps back, Durst can be seen silently giving the drone a 'come hither' motion, to which the piece of aerial tech complies.
As it draws closer, Durst smacks the drone and sending it into the gap between the stage and audience. "Throw it out into the crowd,” he quips commandingly.
Fittingly, the event took place minutes before the group returned to the stage to perform Break Stuff for the second time. It’s worth noting that a double-dip of their 1999 track wasn’t put on specifically for this show, with their breakthrough hit having appeared at both the start and end of their sets for years now.

This is far from the first time that artists have been forced to contend with such interruptions. In 2022, Mr. Bungle's performance at Chile's Knotfest was briefly accompanied by the presence of a drone as well.
Footage from the drone shows it closing in on vocalist Mike Patton, who flips it off amid other expletives. Unlike Durst, Patton's attempts to beat the flying nuisance down proved unsuccessful, however.
This year also featured another notable onstage occurrence for Durst, who joined South African-born, Melbourne-raised Ecca Vandal during a recent gig in Germany. Their friendship has grown larger in recent months, with Ecca Vandal once again set to accompany Limp Bizkit as an opener, this time on their upcoming South American tour.
