Tragic news.
US actress and Everybody Loves Raymond star Doris Roberts has tragically passed away at 90 years of age.
As Fairfax reports, spokeswoman Janet Daily said Roberts died in her sleep, though the cause of death is still unclear.
Daily was told of Roberts' death by her son on Monday.
The Missouri-born performer scored four Emmy awards for her run as Marie Barone on the hugely successful sitcom, while she also appeared in a number of popular films including National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Grandma's Boy.

A number of actors, friends and celebrities, including Roberts' Everybody Loves Raymond co-stars have paid tribute to the actress.
"Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me," actor Ray Romano said in a prepared statement.
"She never stopped. Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly."
Fellow co-star Brad Garrett said, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Doris Roberts, an amazing lady and brilliant actor.
"Doris was vibrant and full of life both on and off the stage, and I am so grateful we shared so many wonderful memories. I will miss her greatly and will always remember her incredible kindness, humor, talent and heart."
