Wild Things Presents have issued a statement.

Australian prog-metal band Ebonivory have been dropped by their label, Wild Things Records, after been made aware of "some serious allegations of a certain band member".

In a statement released today, Wild Things said they "cannot condone this behaviour".

"Therefore, we as a company can no longer continue to work with this particular act, and we have terminated all activity effective immediately," the statement reads.

"We hope the alleged behaviour of said individual can be addressed and treatment sought."

Some of the band members of the Ballarat outfit have also issued identical statements on their personal Facebook pages which reads, "It is with great sadness that I announce that in light of allegations I've been made aware of towards a member of the band, I will no longer be a part of Ebonivory. I hope the alleged behaviour of said individual can be addressed and treatment sought.

"I would like to thank my friends and family for your support of my work, and to please look forward to my future projects."

Vocalist Charlie Powlett has since issued a statement published on the Ebonivory Facebook page addressing the situation.

"Earlier today, Jake, Connor, Louis and Dave as well as previous representatives Wildthing announced their departures from Ebonivory; I fully honour and sympathise with their decisions," the statement reads.

"I have recently come to understand that many of my actions in the past have been malicious, inconsiderate and disrespectful to a number of friends and previous partners in my life.

"Behaviour as such is not excusable by any means, nor am I trying to save face or devalue the validity of anyone’s perspective by offering a statement. Anyone affected by my past actions has a right to share their experiences and I truly hope that they have been able to talk about it in their support networks."

Ebonivory were scheduled to join fellow Aussie band Caligula's Horse on a North American tour in 2021, however the Brisbane group announced today that Ebonivory "will no longer be joining us for this tour".
