American punk rockers Dead Kennedys will return to Australia and New Zealand this September for a highly anticipated tour.
Their first Antipodean run since November 2018 will see the band play in Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.
Bringing the Give Me Dystopia Or Give Me Death tour to Australia and New Zealand, fans can expect to enjoy a setlist featuring classics including Nazi Punks Fuck Off, Holiday In Cambodia, California Über Alles, and Kill The Poor, alongside deeper cuts and fan favourites.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on Tuesday, 15 April, at 12 pm AEST via the SBM Presents website. You can check out the dates and venues below.
With a career that spans over four decades, the Dead Kennedys remain a defining force in punk rock. Their often satirical lyrics and unfiltered music still resonate with fans and challenge the status quo, as they have since their formation in San Francisco in 1978.
The band’s current line-up features original members East Bay Ray (guitar) and Klaus Flouride (bass), as well as longtime vocalist Ron “Skip” Greer—who’s fronted the band since 2008—and drummer Steve Wilson, who joined the band following the tragic passing of D.H. Peligro in 2022.

Dead Kennedys were set to tour across Australia as part of the inaugural Pandemonium Rocks last April but pulled out of the festival after it was reduced to a one-stage event.
The band’s last album, Bedtime For Democracy, was released in 1986. They broke up following the album’s release. In 2001, Ray, Flouride, and Peligro reformed the Dead Kennedys minus original vocalist Jello Biafra.
Brandon Cruz stepped in as vocalist from 2001 until 2003, followed by Jeff Penalty from 2003 until 2008, and Greer to this day.
