Cradle Of FilthTwo of extreme metal’s pioneers, Cradle Of Filth and DevilDriver, have joined forces for an epic Australian tour, taking place this July.
After teaming up for a North American tour in 2023 and receiving rave reviews from critics – Ghost Cult Magazine declared that the bands delivered a “face-grinding heavy package that lived up to the hype” – that same energy is hitting Australian shores.
Cradle Of Filth last toured Australia in September 2024, in support of their 2021 album, Existence Is Futile. Meanwhile, DevilDriver last performed for their fans Down Under in August 2019.
The upcoming tour begins at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Thursday, 9 July. From there, the bands head to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, 10 July, Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 11 July, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Tuesday, 14 July, and Perth’s Astor Theatre on Thursday, 16 July.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, 26 February, at 9 am local time, followed by the general sale on Monday, 2 March, at 9 am local time. For more ticketing details, head to The Phoenix and Metropolis Touring websites.

There aren’t many bands that can say they’ve been as influential or as controversial as Cradle Of Filth. Led by sole remaining founding member and vocalist, Dani Filth, the metallers have released 14 albums and sold merchandise so notorious that their fans have gotten arrested.
Last year, Cradle Of Filth released their fourteenth album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, but 2025 wasn’t always the most positive year for the band.
Members Zoe Marie Federoff and Marek “Ashok” Šmerda departed the band in less-than-amicable circumstances, filing a lawsuit against Dani Filth and The Oracle Management, alleging copyright infringement, misappropriation of likeness, defamation, unjust enrichment, and unpaid royalties.
Additional former band members, including guitarist Paul Allender (1992-1995, 1999-2014), keyboardist/vocalist Lindsay Matheson (aka Lindsay Schoolcraft) (2013-2020), and guitarist Richard Shaw (2014-2022), joined the lawsuit.
Even with legal action looming over them, Cradle Of Filth continue to tour.
Additionally, DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara – who founded The Oracle Management alongside his wife, Anahstasia – has been experiencing health issues, postponing tour dates last year.
