Yes, they are meant to be here those days.

Oz Comic-Con is back for 2017, and it's bringing along for the ride two stars of iconic cult '90s slacker comedy Clerks to its West and South Australian events in a few weeks' time.

Best-known for his role as put-upon Quick-Stop shop attendant Dante Hicks in Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II — with Clerks III on the way — Brian O'Halloran has largely spent his career palling about in director Kevin Smith's 'View Askewniverse' (he also played Dante's relatives in several of Smith's other films, including Gil Hicks in Mallrats, Jim Hicks in Chasing Amy, and Grant Hicks in Dogma), though he's also dabbled in voice-acting (er, granted, including for Clerks: The Animated Series, but also for Pokemon: Black & White) and other unrelated projects.

His Clerks co-star, Marilyn Ghigliotti, starred opposite O'Halloran as Dante's underappreciated love interest, Veronica Loughran. Although she auditioned for Mallrats and was offered a part in Chasing Amy (but turned it down), Ghigliotti has ultimately spent more time behind the camera than in front, forging a career as a respected make-up artist for both film and TV. However, she has never totally eschewed the acting bug; her most recent role came in 2016, when she featured as a realtor in indie horror flick Lake Eerie, starring Lance Hendriksen and pro-wrestler Al Snow.

The new additions join existing film-and-TV-realm guests Jason Momoa (Justice League, Aquaman, Game Of Thrones) and Alaina Huffman (Supernatural, Smallville, Stargate Universe), as well as comics-and-publishing-industry identities Isobelle Carmody, Stewart McKenny, Kylie Chan, Marianne De Pierres, Andrew Constant and Paul Mason.
