Simple MindsScottish pop-rock icons Simple Minds are returning to Australia in February 2027, and they’ll be celebrating five decades of undeniable hits.
Frequent visitors to Australia, the Don’t You (Forget About Me) hitmakers were last on our shores in February 2024, when they co-headlined the Red Hot Summer Tour with ICEHOUSE. Sideshows included appearances at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, and the Sydney Opera House, to name a few.
Lead singer Jim Kerr said of the band’s long-standing love for Australia, “Simple Minds go back a long way with Australia and New Zealand, the thrill of performing for our fans down there never wears off.”
Simple Minds’ 2027 V Tour will reportedly showcase a “panoramic” live music experience that celebrates 50 years of music.
The shows commence at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, 13 February. They continue at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena on Tuesday, 16 February, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Thursday, 18 February, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 20 February, and conclude at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Sunday, 21 February.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from Thursday, 18 June, at 9 am local time, followed by the general sale on Friday, 19 June, at 9 am local time. You can find tickets on the Destroy All Lines website.
