City & Colour Announces 2020 Australian Headline Tour

The Canadian legend's new album is out next week!

More City & Colour City & Colour

To support next week's release of his new album, A Pill For Loneliness, City & Colour has confirmed he will return to Australia in 2020 for a headline tour of the country.

Following his exclusive show this weekend at Brisbane Festival, the Canadian legend will return next April for dates in Adelaide, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

Aussie favourite Alex Lahey has been announced as the support act for the run, on the back of her widely-praised Like A Version performance last week.

A Pill For Loneliness, due out on 4 October, is City & Colour's first studio album since  2015's If I Should Go Before You.

“I wrote a lot of dark songs and wrapped them in the most beautiful sounds we could find,” Green said.

“There are personal connotations, but they’re also relatable. I’m thankful for the opportunity to create.”

Green recently joined The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast to chat about all things City & Colour and his other band, Alexisonfire. Listen to the full episode on Spotify, Apple Podcasts (below) or SoundCloud.

Tickets for the 2020 tour go on sale from midday local time on Friday 4 October; for more details, click on theGuide.
