The electro luminary will knock over five shows here on his maiden voyage Down Under next month
Lauded Brazilian house luminary Bruno Furlan will make his debut visit to Australia next month.
We don't speak the language, but you need look no further than the photos littering Furlan's Facebook page to get an idea of the sort of year he's enjoyed, as pic after pic of the man commanding a massive crowd of revellers demonstrates his considerable pulling power for fans of high-energy electro tunes the world over. Included in those ranks is Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke, who raved of the up-and-comer in a statement, "Bruno Furlan has captured a very simple, VERY funky sound that is really special in my opinion".
"The beats are huge yet nothing is over the top, everything is quirky and bumpy and very much what I like to play," VonStroke said. "The samples are all slightly odd and placed in very particular spots in the pocket so that the beats really ride. You can feel the funk oozing out of these tracks."
Furlan is currently kicking around with a raft of shows in the Sao Paulo and Santa Catarina areas, in his home country, and will kick off his local run from 21 October, when he gets under way at Proud Mary's in Erina (near Gosford).

He'll follow that up with another regional showing up in Townsville, at Flinders Social, as well as more metropolitan settings including Melbourne (Pawn & Co) and Sydney (Chinese Laundry), before finishing in Wollongong (The Grand Hotel).
He's established himself Down Under by way of his well received track Dinamo and the broader release from which it came, Furlan's KO EP, with the latter garnering the attention of esteemed local label etcetc before the former made its way onto the airwaves courtesy of triple j.
KO is available now; see Furlan's Facebook page (via translator) for more information.
