Legendary metal band Black Sabbath will release their first album in 35 years this June.
Titled 13, the new album features original Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Rolling Stone reports Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk has stepped in to replace Bill Ward, who refused to take part in last year’s reunion shows.
13 is the first Osbourne-fronted Black Sabbath album since 1978’s Never Say Die! A majority of the album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin.
The exact June release date for the album is yet to be confirmed, but with Sabbath touring the country in April/May, it’s looking likely that Australian fans may be some of the first in the world to hear new Sabbath material live.
