Music icon Barry Gibb has scored his first ever solo Australian #1 album on this week's ARIA charts.

The Bee Gees legend's third solo record, Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook, has debuted at top spot on the Albums list, dethroning Taylor Swift's evermore which held the #1 spot for the last three weeks.

Gibb's last solo album, In The Now, peaked at #3 on the chart following its release in 2016.

Greenfields sees Gibb team up with a number of fellow legendary names, including Dolly Parton and Olivia Newton-John. The last time Gibb hit #1 on the ARIA charts was in March 1999 with Bee Gees' live album, One Night Only.

Other debuts on the Albums chart this week include Morgan Wallen's Dangerous: The Double Album (#2) and Passenger's Songs For The Drunk & Broken Hearted (#6).

Meanwhile, this week's Singles chart has been topped by 17-year-old US songwriter Olivia Rodrigo with her global hit, Driver's License. The feat sees Rodrigo become the first artist to debut at #1 on the list with their first single since Harry Styles' Sign Of The Times in April 2017.
