It’s been a big week for Melbourne rockers Amyl & The Sniffers, who, after scoring a massive mural in London, have now topped the Australian Vinyl chart with their new self-titled LP.

The band’s new album has shot to the top of the ARIA Vinyl chart to debut at #1, while also scoring a #22 debut on the ARIA Albums chart AND debuting at #91 in the UK.

The Music reviewer Chris Familton said Amyl & The Sniffers “show the power of simplicity, attitude and abandon on their debut self-titled album.

“It’s a lean 11 songs that capture the spirit and verve of their live shows surprisingly well as they avoid unnecessary studio sheen.”

Sydney outfit Middle Kids have also scored multiple entries, with their latest release, New Songs For Old Problems, sitting at #3 on the Vinyl chart and debuting at #44 on the Albums chart.
