Airwolf Signs Label & Booking Deals & Unveils New Single

6 September 2016 | 1:30 pm | Staff Writer

'Talking Bass', ft. Stace Cadet, was premiered on triple j last week

Melbourne club hero Airwolf — Justin Erougian on his tax return — has landed the impressive feat of securing not one but two separate industry deals within a matter of days of the premiere airing of new cut Talking Bass, ft. Space Cadet.

Though not due for official release until this Friday, the track reared its head in public for the first time during last week's Friday Night Shuffle — and, now, less than a week later, Airwolf can consider himself the newest addition to the respective families at renowned indie label etcetc Music and the bookers at electro-centric agency Nuffsaid.

The celebrated producer — who has been remixed by the likes of What So Not, Slumberjack and Young Franco in the past, with future rejigs coming from international drawcards like Taiki Nulight, rrotik, Hood Rich and Yasumo — considers his inclusion in etcetc's roster as something of a realisation of a long-held dream.

"I'm so excited to be joining the etcetc family!" Airwolf enthused in a statement. "It has always been a goal of mine to be a part of the etcetc roster and I couldn't be any happier and or more thrilled to be working with such an amazing team and alongside many artists that I look up to!"

Among those artists are esteemed musos such as Set Mo, Luke Million, Kilter and several others, bound together under the guiding light of label head Aden Mullens, who said of Airwolf's signing: "Justin is a super-talented, creative artist in the truest sense; I'm really looking forward to working with him and making some waves locally and internationally."

Talking Bass, featuring Stace Cadet, will be released on Friday, 9 September, via etcetc. Both Airwolf and Stace Cadet will be on the road together from the end of the month, kicking off at Newcastle's Cheap Banter on 30 September and rolling through Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast, Belgrave and Geelong before wrapping up at the Prince Bandroom, Melbourne, on 5 November.
