Massachusetts hardcore supergroup All Pigs Must Die will enter the studio in mid December to record their debut album. The release will be recorded with Kurt Ballou of Converge

In celebration of their 20th anniversary together, Pearl Jam will release a new live album, entitled Live on Ten Legs. Alongside live fan favourites, the live album will include covers from a range of artists including The Who's "Baba O'Riley," The Ramones "I Believe In Miracles" and "Blitzkrieg Bop," MC5's "Kick Out the Jams," Sleater-Kinney's "Modern Girl," The Stooges' "Search and Destroy," The Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer," and Devo's "Whip It."  

A new youtube channel of online acoustic sessions has recently been created by music photographer Ryan Russell called 'Nervous Energies.' The most recent session features Chris Farren of Fake Problems performing a number of songs including 'The Magazine.'

Cody Anderson, the screamer for In Fear And Faith who has appeared on both of the group's full length records has announced his departure from the band.

Earth have completed their highly anticipated upcoming full-length album, which has been a subject of much discussion over the past two years. Following the band's magnificent 2008-released The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull opus, the next chapter in the ongoing Earth legacy is ready for public consumption. To see release via Southern Lord Recordings in February 2011, the recently completed new album has been titled Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light 1, and promises to be a brand new entity within Earth's already impressive and constantly progressing lineage. Joining founding guitarist and band frontman Dylan Carlson and percussionist Adrienne Davies, the album line-up this time around also includes cellist Lori Goldston (Nirvana, David Byrne, Black Cat Orchestra, Laura Veirs) and Karl Blau (K Records, Laura Veirs, Microphones) on electric bass. Listenable Records is pleased to announce the signing of Dutch thrash/death metal band Izegrim. Immediately after the release of 2009's Point Of No Return, Izegrim started writing/composing their new album. Their mission was to create the most versitale, riff-packed, in-your-face-sounding record in the history of Izegrim. After more than one year of working as hard as they ever did, they've accomplished their objectives. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jörg Uken (Soundlodge Studio), this record has become exactly the way they wanted it to be. The band commented, "Needless to say that we are really honoured and exhilerated to be on a roster with bands like Hate, Gojira and The Red Shore, to name just a few. We are certain that our coalition with Listenable Records will be a prosperous one!" The new album, Code of Consequences, will be released on February 2011.

Miami, FL's Maruta have finished up work on their new album, and second for Willowtip Records, entitled Forward Into Regression. A release set has been set for February 22, 2011. Germany's Power It Up Records will be releasing a gatefold LP version. A release date for the vinyl is TBD. Vocalist Mitchell Luna comments: "So we finished wrapping up full-length number two, and I can honestly say that we are all very proud of the outcome. We took the same open minded approach to grindcore as we have on our previous recordings, but incorporated a couple new surprises. The end result sounds more relentless, and I personally feel that it is a well rounded record that is equally emotional as it is abrasive. Stoked for it to drop!" Melodic hardcore band, It Prevails have recently lost longtime guitarist, Alex Kustche.  Despite no official announcements, the following post allegedly from Kutsche himself reveals: "Tough choice this weekend as I have decided to leave It Prevails.
