Chimaira have announced that they have signed a deal with E1 Music. The band is currently in the studio working on their new album, which will be released later in the year through the new label.

Black God to release new record
Louisville, Kentucky based band Black God have announced that they will be releasing a new 7" through No Idea Records. The band features Rob Pennington (Black Cross, Enpoint, By The Grace Of God), Ryan Patterson (Coliseum, Black Cross), Nick Thieneman (Young Widows, Breather Resist), and Ben Sears (Mountain Asleep).

Miles Away and Defeater announce Australian tour
Since releasing their standout third album "Endless Roads" in August 2010, by Miles Away's standards have been laying low. With members now residing on the other side of the world, touring has taken a back seat for the usual road warriors. This March the band will be joined by Massachusetts-based Defeater and Brisbane's Fires Of Waco. Defeater will arrive hot on the heals of their new album, Empty Days & Sleepless Nights, available this March from Bridge Nine Records. Rounding out the bill will be Brisbane powerhouse, Fires Of Waco who's debut album 'Old Ghosts Never Sleep' will also be available in March on Poison City Records.

Renowned Swedish metallers In Flames have finished recording studio album number ten. The band made the announcement recently, stating that the mixing process had begun, with the aim to release the new material by the middle of the year.

Nikola Sarcevic (Millencolin) acoustic Perth show
Scandinavian folk rocker Nikola Sarcevic will be performing an exclusive acoustic set at the Rosemount Hotel in Perth on Sunday, 6 March 2011. Nikola is best known for his work as the lead singer of Millencolin, a notorious Swedish punk/alternative rock band that commanded the respect of the international punk scene from the early '90s and 2000s.

Hand Of Mercy announce March tour
Mosh hardcore band Hand Of Mercy will be teaming up with punk hardcore band One Vital Word this March for a tour which will see the leaders of the new breed of punk / hardcore in Australia touring nationally. After a massive 2010 for Hand Of Mercy from supporting bands like The Amity Affliction, Enter Shikari, Shai Hulud, As I Lay Dying, Confession and playing at the coveted Hardcore 2010 festival to releasing their debut full length record ‘The Fallout” via Dogfight Records which came in at #25 in Short Fast Louds best of 2010. This will be the bands first headline tour in support of their album ‘The Fallout’ featuring the single ‘Mr Nasty Time’ which has received regular air play on JJJ’s Short Fast Loud program as well as getting the band to the top of the JJJ unearthed charts.
