One Day As A Lion is the explosive collaboration between Rage Against The Machine front‐man Zack de la Rocha and former Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore. One Day As A Lion is both a warning delivered and a promise kept. A defiant affirmation of the possibilities that exist in the space between kick and snare. It’s a sonic reflection of the visceral tension between a picturesque fabricated cultural landscape, and the brutal socioeconomic realities it attempts to mask. The name taken from the infamous 1970 black and white, captured by legendary Chicano photographer George Rodriguez featuring a center framed tag on a white wall in an unspecified section of Boyle Heights. Emery announce Australian tour
Emery, the ever-evolving rock quintet originally from South Carolina has been making its mark since 2000, releasing stellar albums and globe trotting around the world. This work ethic has seen Emery become one of the most exciting live acts. This April Emery is set to tour Australia on their first every headlining tour “ We Do What We Want” . No Strangers to our shores having supported Story Of The Year, Underoath and most recently playing Soundwave festival, it will be the first opportunity for the band to play a full set. Emery founding member goes on hiatus
Devin Shelton, lead vocalist and guitarist for South Carolina based post-hardcore outfit Emery has announced his indefinite hiatus from the band.Posting on Emery's Facebook page, Shelton said the decision was not taken lightly."Hey everyone, Devin here. I just wanted to let you all know that I am taking an indefinite hiatus from Emery. This has been a very tough decision for me, since Emery has been an important part of my life for over a decade. I'm not saying I will never do anything else with Emery, but things change and life goes on, no matter how much I will miss it.
