Nightlights have posted two new songs from their forthcoming album onto their myspace page. The songs "When You Grow Up Your Heart Dies" and "Truffle Shuffle" are taken from the band's new album "So It Goes", which will be released in the coming months through Eulogy Recordings.

Of Mice & Men have posted the third video update from the studio where they are currently recording their new album. The band is recording the album with producer Joey Sturgis at The Foundation Recording Studio in Connersville, Indiana.

Six Feet Under have announced that Chimaira guitarist Rob Arnold is now a member of the band. Six Feet Under front man Chris Barnes said: "I couldn't be happier about the new songs and line up! Rob and myself have been collaborating on new songs along with the bands new drummer, Kevin Talley for the past few months. We are all feeling really excited about the bands future, and the raw intensity of the songs that we have created together so far. This is the heaviest most exciting material that I've worked on since the Bleeding, and I'm stoked that Rob will be helping out creating this CD with us! we've all known each other for a while and we're really looking forward to continue writing the new cd and future tours. We are committed to taking Six Feet Under to the next level of brutality."

Louisiana experimental metal quintet Iwrestledabearonce recently checked in with music magazine Alternative Press to discuss the progress of their sophomore release.

Smoking Popes have posted the new music video for their song "Punk Band". The song is taken from the band's new album "This Is Only A Test", which will be released on March 15 through Asian Man Records.

Veteran alternative rockers Soundgarden are set to hit the studio next week, beginning work on their first studio album in over fifteen years.The band's singer Chris Cornell recently gave the clearest indication of upcoming recording plans in an interview with music publication SPIN."We start recording in about a week in Seattle," Cornell stated.Although the group have not released a studio album since 1996's 'Down on the Upside', Soundgarden plan on taking their time recording album number six, with an emphasis not to rush any processes."We're putting the music first…The process of writing, recording, and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline."

Atlanta Christian metal outfit Becoming the Archetype have posted the first webisode in a series of online videos designed to show the band recording their fourth studio album.

Los Angeles deathcore giants As Blood Runs Black have premiered a new song from their upcoming sophomore album "Instinct". 

Boston punk veterans The Dropkick Murphys have released a new video for their song "Going Out In Style". The song is the title track off their seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2007's "The Meanest Of Times".

New Jersey punkers The Gaslight Anthem have performed a brand new song entitled "Biloxi Parish" whilst touring Australia with the annual Soundwave Festival.
