Baltimore hardcore crew Trapped Under Ice will return to the studio in June to record a brand new full-length album. The record will be produced by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, who has been at the helm of records by A Day To Remember, Terror and H2O.

Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia and formed in early 2006, Abandon All Hope quickly grabbed a name for themselves in the Australia Metal/Hardcore circuit with a solid live show and a hugely successful first release under their collective belt. After some short time travelling and writing, the band released their debut CD, on Washed up Records, entitled “Where Life and Death Meet” to a great response from fans and media critics alike, earning a 9/10 in well-known music magazine BLUNT. The Destroy Music tour, featuring The Amity Affliction, I Killed The Prom Queen, Deez Nuts and Of Mice & Men is fast becoming a string of SOLD OUT shows. Last week the Thursday 26th May Sydney Destroy Music event joined the list alongside the first Melbourne show, which itself sold out within 5 hours of going on sale. With metalcore fans around the nation still repping hard, an additional Sydney show has been added. Tickets for the new Friday 27 May show will go on sale 9am this Friday 15 April. Fans are warned to get in quickly to secure their tickets to this and shows in other cities- tickets are selling fast across the board and there will not be any more shows added!

The legendary Dead Kennedys are at the forefront of the incredible legacy of hardcore punk. Since the early 1980s, Dead Kennedys have been pioneers of heavy, political, satirical punk rock, and their cross-generational legend lives on today. Widely considered one of the most important bands in American punk rock, the Dead Kennedys recently graced our shores with their presence. I had the incredible opportunity to ask bassist Klaus Flouride a few questions before their Australian tour, and to find out if punk really is dead.
