Ocean Sleeper Announce Album Release Parties For 'VIP' Fans

Ocean Sleeper are hosting exclusive pre-release parties in support of their forthcoming album, 'Peace When I'm Dead.'

Gippsland metalcore band Ocean Sleeper are celebrating the release of their highly anticipated second album, Peace When I’m Dead, and they want you to get involved.

The album is set for release on Friday, 28 August, via BMG Australia/Rise Records. Already home to the singles Break The Cycle, My Forever Drug, and the title track, Ocean Sleeper are looking to drop the album with the support of their most devoted fans.

This month, Ocean Sleeper are hosting exclusive VIP pre-release parties in the lead-up to the release of Peace When I’m Dead.

Ticketholders will score an exclusive first listen to the album, followed by an intimate Q&A with the band. Additionally, fans can get their hands on attendee-only merch, including limited-edition t-shirts with a tag that “unlocks” the album.

The parties take place at Adelaide’s The Ed Castle on Thursday, 20 August, Sydney’s Burdekin Hotel on Friday, 21 August, Brisbane’s Crowbar on Saturday, 22 August, and Melbourne’s Leadbeater Hotel on Sunday, 23 August.

Peace When I’m Dead spotlights Ocean Sleeper’s ability to explore darker themes with vulnerability, examining inner turmoil, depression, and the lows of human experiences. It’s shaping up to be a cathartic listen by encouraging the healthy release of difficult emotions.

“This band has never been afraid to dive into the darker parts of our lives, and this album is no exception,” explained lead vocalist Karl Spiessl.

He continued, “At its core, the record explores the ongoing battle we have with ourselves - that constant inner struggle that can feel endless. It’s about coming to terms with the idea that this conflict may always be part of the human experience and learning to accept that reality.”

Ocean Sleeper have more plans to celebrate Peace When I’m Dead. The band are launching into their national tour in support of the album next month, which marks their biggest Australian headline run to date.

They’ll perform at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Friday, 4 September, Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Saturday, 5 September, Perth’s Magnet House on Thursday, 10 September, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, 11 September, and conclude the tour with an epic hometown show at Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 12 September.
