Since forming in 2006, Iron Mind have done their own thing their own way. Playing late 80’s early 90’s influenced hardcore with heavy riffs, strong groove and NYHC flavor done right, live they can’t be beat. After releasing 'The Sun Has Set' EP in 2009 they locked down in Melbourne's 3-Phase studios to nail 10 hard hitting tracks for their debut full length 'Hell Split Wide Open' on Dead Souls Records. Featuring artwork by frontman Sam Octigan and printed on a deluxe gatefold LP, don't sleep on the hardcore release of 2011.Joining Iron Mind on the eight date tour is Melbourne's Warbrain, who released their debut 7" 'Paranoia' through Trial And Error Records earlier this year.

In an interview with Rock Sound magazine, Four Year Strong revealed in the lead up to the release of their new album In Some Way, Shape or Form, the band had issues that had them at breaking point. Singer/guitarist Dan O'Connor admits at one stage, the future looked bleak. "We were hardly even speaking to each other for a time. Touring had burned us out, so whenever we had taken care of band business we would go home and not talk to each other at all unless their was an emergency. The only reason I'd call anyone else in the band was if the world was going to explode or something, things were not exactly awesome between us on a personal level." Let's hope they can hold it together long enough for their appearance at Soundwave next year.

Popular English rock trio Muse are currently writing material for a new studio album, with the band likely to release a new full-length in October of next year according to recent assertions by band manager Anthony Addis.

New Jersey pop punkers True Things are now streaming their brand new EP in its entirety. The EP titled 'Distractions' is True Things second release to date which was produced by Man Overboard bassist Nik Bruzzese. 'Distractions' is available now through Lost Tape Collective and Working Man Records.

American metal band Mastodon have posted a live video of them performing on the tv program 'Later With Jools Holland'. The track being performed 'Black Tongue' is taken from the bands latest full-length 'The Hunter' which is out now through Reprise Records.

Terrible Things have posted the new music video for their song 'Up At Night'. The band that features members Fred Mascherino (ex-Taking Back Sunday), Josh Eppard (ex-Coheed And Cambria) and Andy Jackson (ex-Hot Rod Circuit) released their debut self-titled album in August through Universal Records.

American punks Bayside have just posted an acoustic session for website Absolute Punk. The bands frontman and guitarist Anthony Raneri performs tracks 'Killing Time' and 'How To Fix Everything' both taken off their latest full-length 'Killing Time' out now through Wind Up Records.
