After being unable to play the first show of their current Canadian tour, American pop rockers The Dangerous Summer have been forced to drop from the remaining dates due to problems with their van. The band had been refused entry to the first show's venue for drinking their own alcohol outside.

Having taking a year off in 2011, Resist Records and Trial and Error's annual Hardcore event is back in 2012, bigger and better then ever. Spanning the weekend of July 7th and 8th at the Hi Fi in Sydney, Hardcore 2012 is boasting a line up of not only local but also international greats and is proving to be one event not to miss. This years line up is announced in full and includes Perth band Break Even playing their final shows ever after having called it quits earlier this year. There will be no hidden surprises, no extra bands will be added, no dates will be changed, so start getting reading for the return of Australia's premier annual Hardcore event.

Yellowcard have announced through a post on their Twitter account that they have completed their new album. The band simply posted, "The record is finished. What an epic 5 weeks it has been. We are more excited than ever for you to hear these songs."

Hang The Bastard have posted the new music video for their song "Rivers Edge". The song is taken from the band's new self-titled EP, which out now through Thirty Days Of Night Records.

The Wonder Years guitarist and keyboardist Nick Steinborn has released a solo EP under the name Why Bother?. The four song EP is titled "Some Songs", and was entirely written and recorded by Steinborn himself.
